The puzzle is packed in 7 bags of 6.000 pieces each. That's handy. So you can opt for the 'quick' variant and first place 1 bag of 6000 pieces. OR – and this is for the real fanatics – you just mix up all 7 bags with 6000 pieces 🙁 . Then you have an even bigger challenge!
On the puzzle are all kinds of important or well-known buildings from all over the world, for example:

Why is this puzzle called 'Around the world'?

This puzzle shows important and famous buildings from all 7 continents. So much to recognize and maybe you have been in one or more of those buildings.

What's in the box?

Also included in the door is a 152cm x 32cm poster with the large-sized image of this puzzle and a 4-page A12 brochure containing the full list of buildings featured on the puzzle.

How big is this puzzle?

Dimensions: 7,49 meters x 1,57 meters. If you are going to make it, make sure you have enough space somewhere. And that you have a good surface to puzzle on. You can read dimensions of all kinds of other puzzles on my page 'Dimensions puzzles'.

How long will it take you to complete this puzzle?

According to the boys in one of the videos below that made it, it took them "a few hundred" hours. But they didn't keep track of the time exactly and made it mixed with more or less kids/adults. In another video it is stated that it took 500 hours. If I look at how long it takes me to complete a 1000-piece puzzle by Jan van Haasteren, that is an average of 8 hours (read more detailed info on my page 'How long does a 1000 piece puzzle take?'). Suppose you do 8 hours * 42 (because you make about 42 x a 1000 piece puzzle) = 336 hours. But: that is a fairly simple puzzle, so I think, if you want to make this puzzle, you can assume at least 500 hours. If you were going to make 'work weeks' of 40 hours, then you would be working 'full-time' for 12,5 weeks. That is at least 3 months. FYI: if you have time (and inclination!) to spare

1. January 2021 – Stapel family from Diffelen.
The Stapel family in the village of Diffelen (which is located in Overijssel between Ommen and Hardenberg) will make these 2021 pieces of puzzle together in January 42000. They made the puzzle in the canteen of the camping De VechtVallei, so that they at least had enough space. And as you can see in the video, they do have a beautiful custom wooden puzzle board! 2. December 2019: Luuk ten Have (34 years old) from Zuidlaren
He's doing this on his own! Without help from others. He says it took him about a year. He fits and measures this puzzle throughout his house and he has measured beforehand whether that very large XXL puzzle will fit in his house. And that fit!

3. April 2019 – maker unknown.
Beautiful time-lapse video about making this puzzle. Exact name of the maker(s) is unknown. They started on April 10, 2019 and completed the puzzle on March 15, 2020. They took 500 hours to complete. Sorting the pieces took 2 months.
