Jan van Haasteren and the 2025 Children's Stamp Campaign - Together Against Loneliness

Jan van Haasteren – Children's Stamps (500 pieces)

A unique collaboration between cartoonist Jan van Haasteren and the Dutch Children's Stamp Foundation. In 2025, Jan van Haasteren designed not only a cheerful jigsaw puzzle but also the official 2025 Children's Stamp. Both designs tie in with the national theme. “Together against loneliness” – a call to pay attention to children who feel lonely.

The 2025 Children's Stamp

The special children's stamp depicts twelve children playing. They laugh, run, and help each other, while little jokes and recognizable details can be found everywhere – from the famous shark fin to the spy under the paving stone. Jan van Haasteren conveyed the message in his own humorous way:
Everyone belongs. The stamp was issued by PostNL and, together with the puzzle, forms a special duo, intended to encourage connection between young and old. The 2025 children's stamp campaign ran from September 24, 2025, to October 1, 2025.

The theme: Together against loneliness

Research by Kinderpostzegels shows that one in ten children In the Netherlands, children often feel lonely, even permanently. These children have less self-confidence and are at greater risk of mental or physical problems. With the campaign “Together against loneliness” does the organization want to do something about this:
by supporting projects that provide a safe space, access to sports and games, or a buddy who truly listens. During the Children's Stamp Campaign—which is carried out annually by more than one hundred thousand children—students go door-to-door selling products to fund these initiatives.

Fun and for a good cause!

I made this puzzle and wrote the review above. It's a fun puzzle to do—a drawing from 1995. Lots of children playing, adapted from "Kinderpostzegels" (Children's Stamps).
