Jan van Haasteren Puzzle 'Chalk on Time'
I made this puzzle! It's the Chalk Up puzzle - this is number 20054, issue in 2022 on September 3rd. This puzzle is drawn by Robert Derks Studio Jan van Haasteren. It's this puzzle:

and this is the box:

Note: this puzzle was already published in 2020 pieces in 1500 and is now being re-released in 1000 pieces. At the time, the draftsman was also Rob Derks. This 1500 piece puzzle had the number 20026.

Similarity with Crazy Casino puzzle?
I really had a deja vu feeling while laying it. And thought: I've already made this puzzle. However, I didn't know how this came about, but until I found out that certain elements are very similar to the puzzle'Crazy Casino'! However: the Crazy Casino puzzle is drawn by Jan van Haasteren and 'Chalk on Time' is drawn by Robert Derks. That is quite strange, because Rob came up with this himself – that is almost impossible! I'll show you what I noticed.
1. Puzzle – Chalk on Time

2. Puzzle – Crazy Casino

The items explained in more detail.
Number 1 - the woman in almost the center of the puzzle.
That one is exactly the same AND that in the middle of both puzzles. Chance? That's almost impossible, isn't it? But also special the other way around, Rob isn't going to consciously draw this item again, is he?
Number 2 – Jan van Haasteren himself bottom right
This one is also special, that in both puzzles the position of Jan van Haasteren is at the bottom right. By the way, in the photo above it's hard to see at Crazy Casino, but visit the page 'Crazy Casino' and you have better pictures.
Number 3 – The Fishbowl
A little less coincidental, but still, the fishbowl in both puzzles
Number 4 – The Tennis Balls
AND in both puzzles tennis balls AND in almost the same place, namely bottom left. Chance? Pretty special…
Update dated September 26, 2022: I posted this in a Facebook group and in this group is also the artist of the puzzle, Robert Derks. He gave this response to the above items:

General review video
I made a general review video about this puzzle. Including all fixed recurring elements:
Laying the puzzle
I always put each puzzle on a puzzle mat or on a puzzle folder. Ideal for when you don't get around to puzzling for a while. You can store it easily. This time on an Okelo puzzle mat for 1500 pieces. And yes, I first sort all the pieces on the puzzle mat and hopefully I have the 126 side pieces that belong to a puzzle of 1000 pieces:

And as you can see, I am indeed missing 1 side piece. that's always a minor irritation, and usually I give it another try and glance at the leftover bits. but also this time I couldn't find that missing piece so quickly:

I didn't take that many pictures, but here you can see the state of affairs after 2 hours of puzzling. I had tremendous deja-vu with the Crazy Casino puzzle – see texts above on this. The most difficult part were the green billiard tables, those pieces looked very similar. So I saved that for last. What is special is the title of this puzzle 'chalk on time' – that's part of billiards if you want to hit well, then you use the blue chalk after every shot to smear your cue again.

Here you can see that I have almost finished the puzzle and only have to lay the billiard tables. The green billiard cloth is the same everywhere. Also difficult were all the people present in the billiard room, who stand in front of or next to the billiard tables:

and I finished the puzzle:

How long will it take you to complete this 1000 piece puzzle?
I made the puzzle 'Chalk on Time' in peace and it also took several days. Beautiful on a puzzle mat made on the floor in the living room. I do take the time, but not very precisely, it remains a hobby that puzzling! But to give you an idea how long it took me to complete this JvH puzzle of 1000 pieces:
- Explaining the pieces: 20 minutes
- Laying the edges = 15 minutes
- Laying the rest of the pieces = 5 hours and 30 minutes
- So it took me a total of 6 hours and 5 minutes to complete this puzzle. That is faster than it takes me on average over a JvH jigsaw puzzle, namely about 8 hours
About Jumbo puzzles

Jumbo (not to be confused with our supermarket Jumbo!) makes toys, games and puzzles. Jumbo, for example, has made the very well-known games such as “Human don't get annoyed” and “Stratego” and “PimPamPet”. Games that have been around for generations and are still widely played by both young and old. Jumbo has been making and developing toys since about 1900. In the early years of the company, only toys from other countries were imported to the Netherlands. However, since about 1930 it was decided to also make their own toys, at the time manufacturing wooden toys, which was very popular at the time. Almost all toys in those years were made of wood. An important spearhead was that the toys made by Jumbo had to be of very good quality; it had to be as strong as an Elephant. An elephant had to stand on it! The red elephant has been the hallmark of Jumbo's games and puzzles for years. The name Jumbo and the red elephant together form the logo from about 1935. The Jumbo elephant is drawn by Mr. Möhr. He worked at an advertising agency and regularly signed for Hausemann & Hötte. Mr Möhr was at one point commissioned to design a beautiful new elephant logo for the Hausemann & Hötte toys. The logo has changed a bit since then. For example, the eye has grown over the years and has dropped slightly more, resulting in a friendlier elephant.
In the past, the elephant was not only used in the color red, but in all kinds of colors such as blue, yellow, black, white and green. All those colors were cozy and playful. For example, one time there was a yellow elephant on the box and the other time a red one. It was usually looked at which color best matched the color of the box. It was not until the end of the 60s that the red elephant was definitively chosen. Red is a color that stands out and attracts attention.
From 1945 Jumbo also started to focus on games made of cardboard. Jumbo has therefore been a guarantee for strong quality for years! Jumbo is a unique Dutch company with a rich history, with its head office in Zaandam. About 130 employees work for Jumbo. With a turnover of €75 million, Jumbo is a medium-sized European player in toys. Jumbo has sales offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. They export to more than 25 countries around the world.
In 1980 Jumbo starts the production of Jan van Haasteren Puzzles.

I wrote the above review in September 2022. I had a bit of a deja vu! Thought - looks familiar to me. Confusion with Crazy Casino. However, upon closer inspection, based on nothing. Furthermore, a very nice puzzle with a lot to see.
