Jan van Haasteren puzzles and the QR code
On some Jan van Haasteren jigsaw puzzles you see a QR code. The QR code I mean is always on the front side of the box. Some older puzzles also have a QR code on the rear end of the box, however that QR code was to JvH puzzle APP Available for download on iOS or Android. As you may already know, the JvH puzzle app has been discontinued by Jumbo and no longer exists. The QR code on the front of the box looks like this, using the puzzle 'safari':

And another example of a puzzle with the QR code on the front of the box, in that case 'Anniversary Box 30 years':

What can you do with the QR code on the box?
If you want to scan a QR code, you can also use the "take photo" function on your phone; you don't necessarily need a QR code scanner app for this. Simply hold your phone fairly close to the QR code on the front of the box and take a photo. A notification will then automatically pop up, allowing you to go to the website; you've now scanned the QR code. However, just like with the Jumbo app, this QR code no longer works, at least not with the two puzzles I tried above. I received this message after scanning the QR code:

As you can see, you're indeed taken to the Jumbo website, but I suspect this QR code led you to the puzzle in question by Jan van Haasteren on the Jumbo website. On newer puzzles, you don't even see a QR code on the front of the box anymore. So:
Both the APP and the QR codes no longer work and have been stopped by Jumbo.
