Jan van Haasteren Puzzle 'Traffic chaos'
I made the Jan van Haasteren Puzzle of 1000 pieces called 'Traffic Chaos'. It is the puzzle 'Traffic Chaos' – this is number 20073. And that is this puzzle:

And this is the box:

This 1000 piece puzzle was published on September 24, 2022, and is together with the other puzzle 'On Land, At Sea and in the Air' in a 2-in-1 combo box. That's this one:

Both of these puzzles are drawn by Jan van Haasteren from the Jan van Haasteren studio.
The puzzle 'Traffic Chaos' is a completely new drawing/puzzle, the puzzle 'Ter Land, Ter Zee and in de Lucht' has already been published in 2015 and 2017. It has also appeared in various numbers of pieces.

The puzzle was released on September 24, 2022 in a 2-in-1 combo box, along with the puzzle 'On Land, At Sea and in the Air' in a 2×1000 piece box. I made an unpacking video of this:
Traffic chaos in the CBR version - 82054
In November 2022, a version of this puzzle suddenly appears that was published by the CBR (central Bureau for Driving Skills). This is a one-time publication of the CBR for the staff. This is really a limited Edition and in a limited edition. It has a number that starts with an 8 - all puzzles that start with an 8 are published by a party other than Jumbo. The number is 82054. The slogan 'CBR together Safely ahead' is also printed on the front of the puzzle box. This is only different on the front:

In a video again an explanation of the Limited edition of the CBR puzzle:

General review video 'Traffic chaos'
I've made a general review video, including the regular recurring elements you can see on this puzzle:
Laying the puzzle
Here you see me making the puzzle on a puzzle mat for puzzles up to 3000 pieces. Advantage - then all the pieces fit on the puzzle mat and you can easily store it. You see that one too poster in this 2-in-1 combi box, which is always the case with a 2-in-1 combi box, because the images on the puzzle box are too small to use during the puzzle:

I always start by sorting out the straight edges of the puzzle. It is always an exciting moment, whether I really have been able to find all the straight pieces. Very often 1 is missing, but this time I did all 126 lace pieces can find:

As you can see, I started by matching all the areas with colors. In this case, that was all the cars involved in the traffic chaos. This puzzle was actually a bit too easy for me. I had kept track of the time a bit, but lost the exact time. But I was done pretty fast or I'm getting better and better puzzler 🙂

with this puzzle it went pretty fast, so I immediately have fewer pictures. When I puzzle through one after the other, I don't take pictures. You can see that I have saved the most difficult parts, namely the streets, sidewalks and pedestrian crossings, to the last. those were mostly plain white parts. Those are very difficult.

And in the end done a little too quickly, too easy is not always fun. Well, this is what it turned out to be:

How long will it take you to complete this 1000 piece puzzle?
I made the puzzle 'Traffic Chaos' in peace and it also took me several days. Beautiful on a puzzle mat made on the floor in the living room. I do take the time, but not very precisely, it remains a hobby that puzzling! And in this case I had lost track of time. But I remember I finished pretty quickly. So below an indication then. But to give you an idea how long it took me to complete this JvH puzzle of 1000 pieces:
- Explaining the pieces: 25 minutes
- Laying the edges = 30 minutes
- Laying the rest of the pieces = 4 hours and 15 minutes
- Which made me do this puzzle in total = 5 hours and 5 minutes. That is considerably faster than I do on average about a JvH jigsaw puzzle, namely about 8 hours.
About Jumbo puzzles

Jumbo (not to be confused with our supermarket Jumbo!) makes toys, games and puzzles. Jumbo, for example, has made the very well-known games such as “Human don't get annoyed” and “Stratego” and “PimPamPet”. Games that have been around for generations and are still widely played by both young and old. Jumbo has been making and developing toys since about 1900. In the early years of the company, only toys from other countries were imported to the Netherlands. However, since about 1930 it was decided to also make their own toys, at the time manufacturing wooden toys, which was very popular at the time. Almost all toys in those years were made of wood. An important spearhead was that the toys made by Jumbo had to be of very good quality; it had to be as strong as an Elephant. An elephant had to stand on it! The red elephant has been the hallmark of Jumbo's games and puzzles for years. The name Jumbo and the red elephant together form the logo from about 1935. The Jumbo elephant is drawn by Mr. Möhr. He worked at an advertising agency and regularly signed for Hausemann & Hötte. Mr Möhr was at one point commissioned to design a beautiful new elephant logo for the Hausemann & Hötte toys. The logo has changed a bit since then. For example, the eye has grown over the years and has dropped slightly more, resulting in a friendlier elephant.
In the past, the elephant was not only used in the color red, but in all kinds of colors such as blue, yellow, black, white and green. All those colors were cozy and playful. For example, one time there was a yellow elephant on the box and the other time a red one. It was usually looked at which color best matched the color of the box. It was not until the end of the 60s that the red elephant was definitively chosen. Red is a color that stands out and attracts attention.
From 1945 Jumbo also started to focus on games made of cardboard. Jumbo has therefore been a guarantee for strong quality for years! Jumbo is a unique Dutch company with a rich history, with its head office in Zaandam. About 130 employees work for Jumbo. With a turnover of €75 million, Jumbo is a medium-sized European player in toys. Jumbo has sales offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. They export to more than 25 countries around the world.
In 1980 Jumbo starts the production of Jan van Haasteren Puzzles.
Reviews about this puzzle

Perhaps a nice addition, various cars and trucks are also equipped with L (teaching cars) and a small truck with the CBR logo in the edition for CBR employees. I still have to put the puzzle together.
I wrote the above review and made this puzzle in September/October 2022. It certainly wasn't a difficult puzzle and sometimes it's a pity that you miss some challenge. Otherwise moderately excited about this puzzle, I got a bit of a 'soapbox race' dejavu.
