Intertoys puzzle mats

Various brands of puzzle mats are sold on the Intertoys.nl website. Below I give an overview of the puzzle mats sold by Intertoys (December 2020). And here are a few tips if you want to order such a puzzle mat online at Intertoys. At the moment (December 2020) nine types or brands of puzzle mats are offered on Intertoys.nl, namely:

Differences between the puzzle mats from Intertoys

Intertoys has 9 puzzle mats, 7 of which are real green or black felt puzzle mats (the above numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and 7 and 9). There are 2 others, and they are the numbers 6 and 8, namely:
6. Jumbo Porta puzzle board for puzzles up to 1000 pieces and
8. Jumbo puzzle folder up to 1000 pieces
These two are a kind of board/folder over which a black cloth is stretched. That's not really a puzzle mat, and you don't roll those two (board and folder) either. All other 7 are roll-up puzzle mats.

Which puzzle mat should I choose on Intertoys.nl?

It is difficult to recommend the right size puzzle mat for everyone. Because it's just what you want. As I described on the page 'how does a puzzle mat work', it depends on what everyone likes to puzzle. For the sake of convenience, I will assume a puzzle of 1000 pieces, and that you need a puzzle mat for that. You have two options here:

In this case you can buy a puzzle mat marked on the box, for example 500-1000 pieces. Maximum dimensions are then, for example, 118 centimeters (length) x 66 centimeters (height). If you choose these dimensions of a puzzle mat, not all of your 1000 pieces will fit on the puzzle mat! You can certainly make your puzzle from 1000 pieces on your puzzle mat, no problem. Works very well. However, in this case you do not mind if you roll up your puzzle in the puzzle mat, that you will NOT be able to roll up the majority of your puzzle pieces in your puzzle mat. You then put these back in your box (or puzzle sorting trays) and you have to explain those puzzle pieces again (turn them over) if you want to start puzzling again and you unroll your puzzle mat again. If you're okay with this, for a 1000-piece puzzle, a puzzle mat with the dimensions of 118 centimeters (length) x 66 centimeters (height) will suffice.

In this case, you usually buy a puzzle mat that is suitable, for example, for puzzles of 1000 – 3000 pieces. I find these kinds of sizes perfect for a 1000 piece puzzle, for example the size of these puzzle mats is 152 centimeters (length) x 100 centimeters (height). I myself have a puzzle mat for my 1000 piece puzzles that is 160 centimeters wide and 90 centimeters high. Very nice, gives you some extra space (check out this extra space and see how a puzzle of 1000 pieces is on such a puzzle mat) If you buy this size of a puzzle mat, all your 1000 pieces will certainly fit on it! So if you roll up your puzzle mat, you really roll up all your 1000 pieces in the puzzle mat and the next time you want to start puzzling again, you immediately roll out again when you unroll your puzzle mat. So ideal. If you like this situation, choose at least a puzzle mat with dimensions of 152 centimeters (length) x 100 centimeters (height).
