DescriptionVery rare Wasgij puzzle, published by the Japanese puzzle manufacturer 'Beverly Enterprises'. You hardly ever come across it. Also everything on the puzzle box is illegible, all Japanese characters. The dimensions of this puzzle are also different from the standard dimensions of a 1000 piece puzzle. This Japanese puzzle is 72x49 instead of 68x49 centimeters. This puzzle is a kind of series, this one has the number 91-090. Then in this series you have the puzzles with the numbers 91-089 (Happy Holidays) and 91-091 (Late Booking) and 91-092 (Bear Necessities). The nice thing is that I now know this because there was a poster in the box of this puzzle, on which all these puzzles were shown. So it is a kind of series that was published by Beverly Enterprises. While with other puzzles from this series this is on the back of the box. So there are even more rare Wasgij puzzles published by Beverly Enterprises! And then about the numbering. This puzzle has the number 91-090. The '9' in this case stands for the price range of the puzzles. All Beverly puzzles that start with a '9' have the same price. After the '9' you have a '1' in this case. The '1' stands for 1000 pieces. With Beverly you also have for example '93', which is a puzzle of 300 pieces. And you also have '95', which is a puzzle of 500 pieces. By the way, both the Wasgij and the Jan van Haasteren puzzles are published by JUMBO. And also with Jan van Haasteren the 'Beverly' editions are extremely rare and a real collector's item! As an addition - this box contained a number of items, namely (see photos above):
  • - a savings card (small pink card)
  • - a form to request a missing puzzle piece
  • - a sponge with glue (the Japanese often glue the puzzles)
  • - a sealed envelope containing the solution on a poster and an explanation
  • - a poster featuring the entire series of these four Wasgij puzzles published by Beverly Enterprises
