DescriptionThis series of puzzles is not very rare, you see them every now and then. However, because of the special series it is still a collector's item and you pay more for these puzzles than for a normal Wasgij puzzle. This puzzle is part of a special edition of the Wasgij Imagine? puzzles, inspired by the British general election. This series contains scenarios in which different political parties (the Liberal Democrats, Labour and the Conservatives) win. The aim is to show the humorous and imaginative celebration of each party. The reason there are three variants is to represent the three main political parties in the United Kingdom. This series of puzzles can be recognized by the colors of the three boxes and their corresponding sequential numbering. This puzzle is the 'Yellow' box and has the number 19106. The other puzzle from this series has the number 19107 and has a Red box. And finally there is the box with number 19108 and that is a Blue box. The release date was 2010. The 2010 election resulted in a hung parliament, meaning that no party had an overall majority. This led to the formation of a coalition government. This was the first time this had happened in the UK since 1974. The Conservatives did win the most seats, but not enough to govern alone. The election marked the end of 13 years of Labour government under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. On the back of the box you will find two clues. Clue 1 is this one: "If the Liberal Democrats win the General Election! The General Election is fast approaching and all parties are campaigning to get your support, but imagine that the votes have been counted and the Liberal Democrats are victorious, how would the party celebrate?". Clue 2 is this one: "Imagine you are at the Liberal Democrats after their big win. What would the scene be like? Where will they meet and who will be there? This is the scene you have to puzzle together." On both the front and back of the puzzle you will most likely see a drawing of 'Nick Clegg'. In 2010 Nick Clegg was the leader of the Liberal Democrats in the United Kingdom. He led the party from 2007 to 2015. During the 2010 general election Clegg played a prominent role, mainly due to his strong performances in the televised debates, which brought him a lot of attention and support.
