DescriptionDefinitely a rare puzzle! You often have to buy it on eBay.com, or if you're lucky via Marktplaats.nl. This is one of two 'Only Fools and Horses' puzzles. Really a collector's thing. The other 'Only Fools and Horses' is called: 'This Time Next Year'. This box contains 2 puzzles of 1000 pieces. The Wasgij puzzle 'Only Fools and Horses – Duckin' and Divin' – Mystery – 17309' is a unique puzzle set consisting of two puzzles of 1000 pieces each. One puzzle in the box you puzzle exactly as shown on the front of the puzzle box and the other puzzle you puzzle according to the Mystery principle of 'What happens next'? This puzzle is part of the popular Wasgij Mystery series, where puzzlers do not have to recreate the picture on the box, but instead have to guess what will happen in the future based on clues provided on the box. The puzzle is inspired by the iconic British TV series "Only Fools and Horses", written by John Sullivan and broadcast by the BBC (this mention can also be seen on the side of the box). First broadcast in 1981, this comedy series follows the lives of brothers Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, who live in Peckham and try to get rich quick through all kinds of dubious dealings. The series is known for its humor, charming characters and unforgettable catchphrases such as "Lovely jubbly!" and "This time next year, we'll be millionaires!". It is one of the most beloved British comedy series of all time. In this puzzle you will see a lively scene of Del and Rodney on the street, busy selling their "dodgy" wares on Hooky Street. In the series, "Hooky Street" is an informal term Del Boy uses to describe the world of his shady dealings and street vending. In typical Wasgij style, puzzlers must answer the question: "What could drastically change this situation?" The clues on the box, such as Rodney's daydreams and the hectic street, provide puzzlers with a challenge to discover what happens next. This puzzle was released by Jumbo and has the number 17309. The title, "Duckin' and Divin'," is typical Cockney slang, an informal London dialect, and fits the style of "Only Fools and Horses" perfectly. Loosely translated, it means "dodging and diving" or "trying to get out". It refers to avoiding problems, a strategy Del and Rodney often use in their attempts to make quick profits and get out of sticky situations. Del and Rodney are clearly depicted on the front of the puzzle box. Del Boy (full name: Derek Trotter) is the one with the beige flat cap, the thick coat, and the characteristic self-assured look. He is the older brother and the brain behind their often failed trading plans. Rodney is the younger brother, slimmer built, with dark hair and a more insecure look. He stands to Del's left on the box, looking a little less confident. Del is known for his charm and ever-optimistic attitude, while Rodney is often the more serious, skeptical and sometimes naive counterpart. Together they form a comedy duo that constantly ends up in hilarious and awkward situations. This dynamic makes them beloved by fans of the series.
